At this year’s Safety & Health Expo, Evac+Chair International will be focusing on its newly launched low cost rental package for its emergency evacuation chairs.
The Evac+Chair rental package is a first for its market and can be taken over a three or five year period. It has been introduced to assist those sectors often affected by budgetary constraints, to be instantly fully compliant with self-regulatory acts like the Disability Discrimination Act and the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order ensuring due diligence.
Annual servicing of the chairs is included in the package with no finance charge and so is interest free and inflation proof for the whole of the rental period. Evac+Chair’s managing director Barry Scholes explained, “ Having a built-in service element to the package removes the hassle and provides peace of mind to our customers. We service the chairs annually to ensure they remain fully compliant with regulations and are ready for use in an emergency.”
The package can be tailored to the individual needs of an organisation and training can also be added for a complete solution, from certified competency training at a basic level to higher level key training which entitles trained employees to teach other employees in turn. It will also help tax planners because maximum corporation tax allowance is awarded for rental.
The Evac+Chair enables employers to provide an adequate means of escape for all. It allows one person to transport a mobility-impaired individual on the flat or down stairs quickly and safely without the need for lifting or great physical strength.
The smooth, controlled operation of the chair is due to the interface of specially modified V-belts, which work continuously to slow down descent over stair nosings in proportion to the weight of the passenger.
