As every Evac-Chair is categorised as a Class 1 Medical Device Directive, licensed by the MHRA (Medical Health Regulatory Authority), it is critically important your staff are adequately trained in how to use the chair within your building. It is also vital that your Evac+Chair is regularly maintained to ensure the safety of your building’s occupiers and prolong the lifetime of your chair.
Although all of our products are designed to be easy to use, when it comes to an emergency situation, Evac+Chair firmly believes that training can further enhance the effectiveness of your emergency equipment and procedures. Hands-on training should be conducted within your premises to build users confidence in using the chair. Staff who have been effectively trained, and undertake regular practice drills using the chair will be more confident in operating the chair safely and efficiently.
Maintaining your chair is also a key factor in facilitating a safe evacuation in your building. Health & Safety and Disability Discrimination legislation places stringent demands on every organisation to meet its Duty of Care by providing adequate means of escape for visitors and staff on their premises.
As a Class 1 Medical Device, your Evac+Chair should be regularly serviced and maintained to ensure its safe operation, in line with PUWER Regulations (The Provision and Use of Works Equipment Regulations 1998).
To help clients meet this legal requirement Evac+Chair offers a comprehensive 12-month maintenance contract, which ensures your Evac+Chair remains fully operational, meets legal obligations and is always ready in an emergency situation.
We are delighted to confirm that Evac+Chair will be moving to brand new 40,000 square feet state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities on
